Just got back last month from the Island and I have a query from hours spent in the registras office. Actually though I got lots olf answer's, I also came home with lots of questions.
James Bridson born round 1866 married to Frances Gordon DOB ???
James died between Oct 19 and 21st 1912 as a result of drowning in Douglas Harbour. His proffession was Baker, Coal Carter, journey man???
Frances died 17 August 1918 of appoplexy. address 24 Tynwald street
CHILDREN OF ABOVE: Robert, James, John, Ellen, Lillian, Frances May, Marshall.
The later was my grandfather born 1908 February 3rd died 15 September 1968
There is a family rumur that says James senior was married in fact twice but I found no evidence while home. His other wife presumably first, if she existed, was suppose to be a miss Marshall and hence many members of my family ending up with marshall in their name, even an Aunt!
If anyone sees anything familar or is going to the registras office in the near future and could help me out I'd be grateful.
Or could simply throw a light on the ???Miss Marshall rumur!!!! That would be great. I don't know when I can get back home to do more research so it is back to relying on you guys for support, thanks for all the help, encouragement and kind words to date
Regards.
Sue
