I have just discovered that my great great gr'father, Thomas Preston, married Catherine Lewis in 1857 in Liverpool, although both came from the I of M and subsequently returned a few years later. I've found a few Lewises in the 1851 Census Index, but haven't made any definite findings about her parents yet.
