Re: Pronunciation of Bridson

Michael, thank you. I am a Brideson with an e. I have been trying to find out info on William Archibald Bridson, who I believe is my gggrandfather. I have info on William who moved to New Foundland and then NY. I am new to this researching. I believe our name was Bridson and when they got here, added the E. In 1870 William was listed in the census records for Kings County NY, listing England as where he was born, wife was Eliza born in New Foundland with three children, Lora(New Foundland), John (NY) my grandfather, Thomas(NY). In any of your research have you found anything on this family? I believe Willam A. parents were Arthur and Eliza (Holmes).
Thank you
