These dates were meant as illustrative dates by Brian - the comment was that you gave no date line - eg I found you a Birmyngeham in 1511 but didnt find the name in any later Manx records - the 'ynge' would in all probability go to 'ing' thus the name might resurface as Birmingham but as this is a major city in UK searching for just this name is generally unfruitful.
The IGI for Manx records is generally very good (though there are still many errors ) - the catch with non-Manx names is that the Parish register entries will often be confusing as the parish clerks would try to spell it phonectically each time and thus the transcription may not be obvious.
The context of the name in 1511 leads me to to suspect a soldier/Stanley retainer based around the power base of Castle Rushen thus unlikely to settle on the Island - if you want to take this forward then look up the Manorial records (they are on Mormon microfilm) however you will need considerable knowledge of early handwriting and a good knowledge of the context of these records - however a very good sequence of records exists for Castletown.
