Hey Susan,

My great grandfather was a Robert Bridson, I don't know if he is your Robert that drowned in 1924 but I do know that my grandfather Marshall Bridson left home at a very young age, 14yrs, we don't know why. He was born though in 1907. He had several siblings Robert, James, John, Lillian, Ellen and Frances. WE ar told that Robert senior possibly married twice and that one of his wives was a Miss Marshall and so many if the off spring, including my mum's generation got the names passed down to them, including the girls.

Other names in the Bridson line that we haven't connected yet are:

Francis Bridson Died 1918 aged 46yrs This is male spelling but could be a woman
Frances May Bridson Died in London in 1966 aged 60yrs, possibly Marshall's sister
James Bridson died 1927 aged 2 months twin to my aunt, son of Marshall
James Bridson died 1912 aged 46yrs, maybe a brother to Robert senior

These folk are all burried together in Braddan Cemetrey, Douglas

Kind regards

Sue
