I now find out that my maternal great grand mother was Mary Frances Egan and that she came originally from Southern Ireland, ?? County Clare or County Mayo. I always thought that she was the only one of her family to have lived on the Island being married to my Manx Great grand father, James Thomas Kelly. However, I am now told that she had a sister Kitty Egan who married an Edward Quail who worked for Douglas corporation, they had a son, Lenny. She also had two other sister's Margaret who lived in Merseyside and married Robert Worthington and Beatrice who married Arthur Griffiths and settled also in the same region. Can anyone connect me with Kitty's family. The only L Quail in the current Manx phone book is not our Lenny, any help would be gratefully received as my cousins and myself are trying to tie down where the Egan's came from exactly to commence that part of our family tree.

By the way, Mary and her sister's father was James Egan, he died pre 1907, no idea yet whom my great great grandmother was.
