I can not help you with your search for your great grandmother, but if it is of any interest to you, my grandfathers name was George Kermode Gorry who married Mary Elizabeth Foster probably around the 1900's.

My dad also had the same name and was born in 1924 in Liverpool.

I have just started to try and trace my family tree and up until now I thought Kermode was a christian name not a surname, albeit with a Manx connection.
