Bridson family

I'm going to try again with this one.
My maternal grandfather was Marshall Bridson
He was born 3rd February 1907 and married my Nana, Clara Alice Kelly DOB 27/03/08 sometime in 1926.

His father, I belive was Robert Bridson, a baker,
but I have been very unsuccessful at finding out who his mother was.

He had quite a few siblings here are some of them Robert, James, John, Frances, Lillian and Ellen.

I am told his father may have been married twice
and that one of his wives was a Margaret Marshall,
hence many members of my family being given Marshall
as part of their Christian name, including some of my mother's sisters!!!!

I have also been told in the past that we had a grandmother who was a Gordon.

This is all very confusing.
I know that their are decendents of Marhsall's
siblings still on the Island but I have never met any of them.

If this is read by anyone who recognizes
these sparse traces of a family and could
fill in some blanks for me,
even get me started I would be most grateful.

I am returning to the Island this July and could then begin to research if I had a thread to start from.

Please help if you can

I have had someone kindly look at the 1891 census
and I can't find an absolute trace there.
I don't really want to wait till 2002
to hopefully consult the 1901 census,
but maybe it will come to that!

Any help would be gratefully received as always

Kind regards

Sue
