Re: Kayll/Kayle Family members early 1880's

Hello Terry

I'm a bit slow in picking this up, but I believe we're relatives.

Mary Ann Kayll was christened 5 Oct 1819 in St Marys, Castletown. Her father was Joseph, who was my ggg.grandfather. She was a childs maid on the Isle of Man. Convicted of "man robbery", tried at Isle of Man Gaol, delivery on 21 May 1839, sentenced to 7 years. (Convict No. 611-39, Indent No. 143, Protestant, could read and was single.) She married in Australia and has descendants there.

I have a site which mainly features the Kaylls, http://members.netscapeonline.co.uk/allanganderson/

Also, I know there are Kaylls in NZ now. There are many more references to Kaylls on Frances' excellent site.

Would love to hear of your line from Mary Ann.

Allan
