I am looking for some information regarding my great-grandfather, William KELLY (also known as Willy the Tailor), He was married to Louisa Cowin and from this they had of 8. William was born in 1852 and Louise was also born that year. Their children's names are as follows: Elizabeth (never married), John (married to Hannah Guy and immigrated to Canada in 1905), Ann (married to John Shimmin), Emily (married to John Nelson), Lucy (married to J. Belcher and immigrated to Canada), Edward (married to Florence Faragher), Alfred (killed in WW 1) and France (married to Harold Quaye). I have visited the Isle of Man on three different occasions and just love you wonder little world. The first time that I was over to your Island, I did meet a lot of cousins but would like to have a bit more information regarding my ancestors. I don't want to go too far back into the books but would like to get some info.
John KELLY is my grandfather and left the Isle of Man in 1905 when he got married. He immigrated to Canada and was a settler in the Province of Saskatchewan. He had four children, one of whom is my mother. All the time that I was growing up, all I heard from my mother and grandmother was the Isle of Man. My dream was to visit your fair isle and I was able to make my dream come true.
If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it if they would get in touch with me.
