My great great grandfather William Corrin, a joiner of Castletown and son of William Richard of Castletown married Catherine Ellen Creer, spinster of Kirk St Ann (Santon) at Braddan in 1835. They went to Liverpool where their son William Hinley Corrin was born in 1838. Catherine Ellen Corrin (nee Creer) signed her name on the birth certificate with a cross. She returned to the island, dead or alive I do not know, but she is buried at Malew. Can any present day Creers claim me as a relative?
