Richard Blake Corkhill or William Corkhill

I am looking for any information on a Richard Blake Corkhill born circa 1815 supposedly in the Isle of Man.
He was the captain of the ship 'Perserverance' which made several trips from London to Australia between 1836 and 1840.
Unfortunately his name does not seem to appear in any of the IGI searches.
I am also looking for information on a William Corkhill born circa 1800 in Douglas, IOM, (he died in 1878 in Australia at recorded age of 78)
and while we have his fathers name of William Corkhill there is no record of his mother's name.
According to a letter written by my father many years ago, Richard and William may have been brothers.
It is thought that William Corkhill may have worked his passage out to Australia about 1835/36.
Any help with the above would be greatly appreciated.
