Our family has 3 uncles who were killed in the following wars:
John James Cowley - WWI d. 1916
John (Jack) Thomas - WWII d. 1940
William Edward (Billy) Thomas - Korean War d. 1951
All 3 have their names on the War Memorial in Douglas and Jack is also listed on the wooden plaque at the exit of Regent Street Post Office as he worked for the Post Office prior to service.
I've found John James' and Jack's entries on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website but as they only cover the 2 world wars I haven't been able to find any further information on Billy although I've done various searches.
Is there perhaps a British Legion contact on the island who can direct me with further enquiries about all 3 relatives? Thanks.
