Cain Family Geneology

I have just started trying to find out some history of my family on my
fathers side. I have got back as far as his mothers parents who lived in
Pulrose.

Some details which may help are:

Myself: Jason Keith Stanley Cain born Douglas 23-08-1971

My Father: Stanley Colvin Cain born in Douglas (1 of 7 children)

His mother: Lillian Cain born c1920 (married George Cain born 27-12-1921)
both of Douglas

Lillians Parents: Elizabeth Cain (Nee Beumont, born in North West England
d.o.b. 1893, died in April 1952 she married

Robert Henry Cain d.o.b. 22-04-1893 and who died 13-05-1973

Some other details are that Robert and Elizabeth had a sweet shop in the old
Barrack Street in Douglas and were staunch Salvation Army people, a sister of
my Gran, Mary, who lives in America still regularly visits the island to
carry out work for the Salvation Army. Also Robert was a bus driver, which
George, and also my father turned out to be, (i must have been the odd one not
becoming bus driver haha)When Robert (Known as Henry) died in 1973 he lived
in Lord Street, which ironically, is where he may have started life.
Elizabeth died in 1952 in Laburnum Road Pulrose.

I am trying to find out some stories also from people who have known the
family as this may form the basis of a book bout my family.

My grandfather (George)was looked after by someone who wasnt his family and
the information that i have as well as his mothers name is that he was
the product of a relationship outside marriage with a civil servant at
Braddan,(big house) his mothers name is Catherine, we assume, Cain, one of
the reasons for not keeping George i understand was that Catherine was a servant and the Civil Servant was married, that is all the information that
i have except that george was raised by a family that had a shop at the
junction of railway hill where the insurance offices are now.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
