there are no manx records for any emigrants - your only hope is in US lists at probably New York!
Deaths on Island pre 1877 did not have to be recorded though you generally find them in one of the Parish burial registers (as explained elsewhere there is no unified index to these).

Many emigrants may well have gone to England before the States (ie is she buried in Liverpool ? - UK records do go back to 1837) though settling at Painesville would indicate he probably had friends in the Ohio Manx community.
