ELPHINSTONE - search has rewards

After 30 years of searching I have finally found relatives in the Isle of Man. My grandfather Edward Elphinstone was born in Doulgas. he had three step brothers and 3 full brothers. His father, my great grandfather, had two wives (at different times, of course,). these children were baptised in a church near the centre of the Isle (forget the name at the moment) and my great grandfather brought the circus to Douglas. he was involved with the Theatre around 1879.
After searching I have located an uncle who still lives in Douglas and a second cousin who lives in Bournmouth, England.
Next week (Sept 27) my husband and I are taking a trip to Douglas to meet this long lost uncle. We are so excited. Thanks to the internet we have discovered a whole new family. I just wish my Mother was still alive to meet her relative.
We are spending 11 days on the Isle of Man and hope to find out more information that I can pass on to my children and my other cousins.
Apparantly my grandfather and two brothers were given to the Salvation Army to work on a farm in Canada. I can trying to research this event. My other two relatives that I have not made contact with but live on the Isle are Ivy Corlett and Mrs Pratt. I think they are sisters.
If anyone has more information about my family I would really appreciate knowing it. Thanks so much.
