Lonan Skillicorn JohnJane (Kelly) JohnAnn (Killup)

James Skillicorn was, I believe, the son of John and Jane (Kelly) Skillicorn, born Lonan 18 July 1819. He married, Lonan 23 March 1843, Eleanor "Ellen" Skillicorn. James and Ellen's marriage record at Lonan states James was the son of John, farmer; Ellen was the daughter of John, farmer. However, I believe Ellen's father was actually the John Skillicorn, mariner, son of John and Margaret (Corrin) Skillicorn,"lost at sea the 10th of Dec 1831, aged 31 years (from Lonan cem. records FHL film 1559418). The children of John and Ann (Killup) Skillicorn fit what is known of Ellen's siblings in the USA.

Ann (Killup) Skillicorn was at Ballacannel in the 1841 census, with children Margaret, Ann, John, and Jane. Her daughters Ellen and Elizabeth were at Ballacollister with Ann's brother John.

James and Ellen Skillicorn emigrated to Iowa County, Wisconsin, in 1856. Their daughter Ann Jane married, in Iowa County, James Callow, originally of Agneash, Lonan.
