COWLEY - STRANG/BRADDAN/DOUGLAS

Does anyone have further information or connection with the following which I've found in various census records. I know where they lived and what their occupations were so ideally I am looking for any family connections or additional information:

Thomas Cowley b.1825 in Marown, occupation blacksmith Mount Rule/The Strang married Jane Cannon of Lonan in 1852 (where was the smithy?)

children were:
Thomas Arthur b.1852
William b.1854
James b.1857 (died)
Edward b.1859
John b.1862
Emily Jane b.1865
James b.1867
Mary Anne b.1871
Joseph Henry b.1873

William married Louisa Lace at Braddan in 1873 and they had one daughter, Catherine Jane b.1876. Catherine Jane married John Alma(?) Daugherty and someone told me they lived in Hope St. Douglas. Louisa died at some point as William remarried an Eleanor Colvin again at Braddan in 1883.

Children of this marriage were:
William Cannon b.1886 who seems to have 'disappeared'
John James b.1889 killed in WW1
Emily May b.1892, my grandmother
Edward Castel b.1895 sent to Canada in 1911 as part of the child emigration scheme, served in the Canadian Contingent of WW1, returned and lived in London, Ontario until his death in 1971. I have information on Edward about his stay in the Children's Home and subsequent voyage to Canada but do not know if he and his wife (Louisa ?) had a family.

Any information however small would be appreciated.
