Hello,

I’ve only just started looking in to my family tree but it’s become a bit addictive!

After an afternoon of searching with my mum, we’ve discovered our connection to the Canepa family (my late nan always swore that we had Isle of Man and Italian connections but up to this point we didn’t know what they were).

Teresa Canipa married Michael Beresford, and their son - George - was my nan’s father.

Lorenzo is in a lot of the records as
Lawrence, and my nan actually had a brother called Lawrence (sadly he died when he was very young) and it’s interesting to think he might have been named after Lorenzo.

I’m intrigued to find out more about Lorenzo’s occupation as a musician, but I think that might open a whole new can of worms!

I just wish my nan was still alive to hear about the history of Lazarus and Lorenzo.
