I found a previous marriage for Thomas and he's recorded as a widower again so there's at least one more marriage for him before this one. Note the different father's name he may not have known his father's first name either because of complications in his early life such as illegitimacy, re-marriage, bereavement etc. On 31 Oct 1889 at Rushen IOM, Thomas Keig, widower, labourer, of Fistard, son of JOHN Gale, labourer married Eleanor Gale, spinster, of Ballakilpheric, daughter of James Gale, labourer. Eleanor Keig died in 1897.
