I suggest looking at Hugh Arthur + Susanna Aspinall married Malew 1703 would appear to have 4 children bapt in Malew inc a Jo[hn] in 1709 before moving to Santon where a further 3 children - neither name is Manx, Aspinall is I think a Lancashire name but I think Hugh is son of Hugh Arthur + possibly Alice Stole

There is a deed Old deeds Malew bundle 2 #3 - dated 2 feb 1677/8;Giles Arthur(late Malew now Rushen) + wife Margt als Vines[Fines]sell for 9s to Hen Quayle half a close (rent 3d;witt Robt Taggart x, Jo Taggart x, Martin Moore x, Tho Norris;court 14 Feb 1677/8 so might be worth following this up as Arthur is a relatively uncommon family name on Island
