I have been trying to trace my Manx ancestors through Mary Cowell who left Man to live in Liverpool sometime between 1841 and 1846. Her father was James Cowell a stone mason and from what I can gather her mother was Elizabeth Kerruish. I have been unable to trace any earlier records, can anyone suggest a resource to check? thanks. .
