Thomas (1733-1810) was son of John Gelling (ca 1697-1748/49 at Maughold) and Elizabeth Quine (ca 1710-1737/38). John Gelling was son of Capt. Paul Gelling (b London 1668, d 1732/33 Knocketroddan Braddan) & Christian Cannell (b 1663/64 Kk MIchael, d 1705). Paul had a second wife Ellinor Taubman md ca 1706, died 1738 Knocketroddan Braddan.
