I have been researching my family and have got back to a John Christian 1725?-1755. I have him working as a tailor in Liverpool and having children (Mary born 1750, George born 1753, and Elizabeth born 1755), but there is no record of John Christian being born or getting married in Liverpool, and no name of his wife. However there seem to be lots of John Christians in the Isle of Man. I am wondering if he moved from the Isle of Man to Liverpool (Manx history indicates a certain amount of turmoil at that time), and possibly got married before he moved. Any thoughts?
