I've been looking at my Quayle's ancestors 'Hints' on Ancestry and have seen that there are records of some Quayle's emigrating from the UK to the US and onto Salt Lake City to become Mormons. This is a copy of a document on Ancestry regarding a John Quayle and his wife Ann Cowley.
Ship Rochester- arrived in NY April 20, 1841. Company was lead by Brigham Young, John Taylor and several others. It included about 130 Mormon converts, including Mathias and Ann Quayle Cowley and John and Catherine Killip Quayle.

Does anyone have any more information about the Quayle's, or other IOM families moving to Salt Lake City?
