I looked for Thomas and Hannah’s baby Thomas Kneale in the Eccles area of Manchester in the 1841 census, since his late baptism and confirmation records show that he was probably born just before the 1841 census, and the 1861 census shows that he was born in Patricroft which is part of Eccles.

I tried searching with just “Thomas b 1841 exact, living in Eccles” and found this, transcribed by Ancestry as Knell but written as Knele:

So Hannah was probably widowed prior to June 1841---although Thomas might have still been alive and living away from home. Hannah was definitely a widow by 1851.
