I am currently researching the Kneale family who were Quakers.
My Gt. Gt. Grandmother was Sarah Ann Shaw nee' Kneale b. Abt. 1833 in Kendal Lancashire. Her father Thomas Kneale married Hannah Heywood in 1928. From different census I see they travelled back and forth from Lancashire to IOM. Sarah Ann actually died in Braddan in the asylum in 1917. I think but not sure that Thomas's father was John Kneale who lived in Regaby.
If anyone knows of this family I would appreciate any info.
