I found the following from google, but other searches haven't really provided me with much
From Wikipedia:
"The start was moved from the Quarterbridge to the road junction of the A2 Quarterbridge Road/Alexander Drive adjacent to the property called 'Woodlands' in the town of Douglas"
Interesting that John Brown was a leading Freemason. I have just searched the newspaper archive for when he may have passed away in April 1904. The funeral was attended by large masonic procession, which included: J W Holroyd - which is James Holroyds son.
May see if I can find the 1911 census for Woodlands Lodge, now I know it is a house and see who resided in it then
