Sue is right, I did a binge of work on this family a few months ago. I've just checked your details against mine and they match perfectly. I've now added the bit about William Kelly & Jane Christiana Caley moving to South Australia. I gather they are your ancestors? As an aside, the Charles Gelling mentioned is a descendant of Capt. Paul Gelling of Knocketroddan, Braddan.

I determined that William Lace (d 1798) was baptized 6 Oct 1725 Andreas son of Capt. John Lace of Ballavoddan & Ann Cain who married 26 July 1712 Jurby. This family goes way back.

I made some charts of this family at the end of my research, along with some other Lace groups. I can send them to you, but please do it quickly because I'm away all of January and not taking my PC. Send an email to "egelling at shaw dot ca", changing the two words for the symbols.
