there were 2 J F Cains in 1982 telephone directory, both in Douglas, one however was also in 1969 directory at same address (think these directories are on line) - suspect facebook or similar might be a better bet(eg nostalgia page) - the software scene in Douglas in early 80s was as far as I could see fairly small as offshore finance etc only just starting but I wasn't involved with the game scene.
