Don't forget that on my first posting there is a burial in Maughold October 8, 1852 of James Kermeen aged 68 , which fits him. Hoping someone on the Isle might have more details of that burial.

If that is him, then the Marriage of widow Mary Kermeen is very much a timing possibility , age on 1861 census is a little out , but when the husband could be younger as James Would have been, you just tell a little white lie.
