Mty great x4 grandmother was Anne Crennell born about 1802 who was born in Lancashire ( from the 1841 census) -probably in Liverpool as she married George Vernon in Liverpool in 1835 - he came from Ashton-In-Makerfield and Anne died in Ashton in 1844 of puerperal fever. I have not yet traced her baptism. I believe the Crennell name is a manx name so wonder if anyone knows if there is any one name study that exists on the Isle of man for Crennell?
