Yes Frances, my gtgrandmother Julia was born on Sark but lived in Guernsey. She was actually married to my gtgrandfather John Palmer born in Yorkshire before John Rennie and have details of their children. Problem is I don't now who John Rennie is except he was a mariner so was hoping they came to IOM because the Agnes and Robert were his parents (a guess). If I had a marriage cert of Rennie and Julia the clue would be father's name but cannot find a record of marriage which would most likely be in France or even at sea. No record of John Palmer's death either so banging my head a bit. My grandfather and Annie Jane his sister lived on the Island for a number of years and Annie is buried in Douglas cemetery as Annie Quine so it's the two John's that are the problem and not the two Ronnies!!!
