I am trying to find more information and if possible photographs or newspaper references to the Pleasure Gardens that my ancestor William Stokes had at his property Victoria Tower Strathallan Park Douglas in the late 1800's

These Gardens also had what is thought to have been the first Camera Oscura on the island (as referred to in the 'Manx Notebook' website).

I would be delighted to hear from anyone who has any information that they could share.
