James Gordon's yr and place of birth (1806, Castletown, IoM) derived from army enlistment documents dated 8 April 1826, Liverpool. I am looking for RECORDS OF HIS BIRTH AND HIS PARENTS.
In June 2002, I visited the Manx Museum/Genealogy Centre, researching the Gordon family. I did not find a direct link to my James but have possible links
a) Margaret Gordon and Harry Fell had a daughter Elizabeth Gordon 1792.
b) Margaret Gordon's parents were James Gordon and Margaret Maddrell.
