I have recently discovered that I am descended from Ellen Quirk (1831-1905). There has been a family story about being descended from a Captain in the IOM for generations (although it did become a Spanish Captain shipwrecked from the Armada!). I am confident that I can trace her line back to Henry Radcliffe (1702-1787). There appear to be different views on who preceded Henry and how far. Some have linked Henry back to Samsbury but I haven't seen any evidence. There appear to be lots of fragments of data but nothing conclusive. I am guessing, because there is a lot of interest in the Radcliffes, that if there was an answer someone would have found it. Does my line end here?
