they married in Patrick 30 December 1886 (see www.imuseum.im) - the Foxdale lead mines started to go into a steep decline around this period and many miners went with Capt Kitto to South Africa but most returned just prior to Boer war (1898) maybe if your ancestor had emigrated to SA he went onto Australia?
