the H B is Henry Bloom - the hospital only opened in 1888 (look up on www.manxnotebook.com under towns ) so can't see how spent 5 yrs there ? - replaced later and the building now houses Manx Museum where the archives are - try library@mnh.gov.im to ask re report
in 1881 found with siblings + widowed mother Jane at 22 Wellington street - this is now under the site of the Marks + spencer store (again some info on manxnotebook) - she is bur Braddan 18811204
her husband was possibly John buried Braddan 18781031 age 47

the imuseum www.imuseum.im (part of Manx Museum) should give the marriage of Jane - civil birth records only started 1877 but you may find a baptism on iMuseum

Wm Isdale was the postmaster of Douglas at that period, a strong Wesleyan + later noted as educational reformer
