As users will know 2 senior front of house staff retired this year (a 3rd backroom but important conservator also went) and due to Government funding cuts their positions will not be filled - this made the current 6 day opening extremely difficult to manage thus from beginning of May the library will only open Tues through to Saturday - currently still 10am to 5pm.
