I am trying to find the location of my great grandad and great grandma graves in maughhold church yard Isle of Man
Johnny Garrett was the coxswain of the lifeboats in Ramsey he died in 1931 and Sarah Garrett his wife died in 1928
They both had a big write up in the local paper Ramsey Courier re their funerals and being interred at maughold and Sarahs death notice said she was laid to rest close to the grave of Robert Garrett but I could not locate their graves at Maughold churchyard after searching for days when I visited the island . My Great Great grandparents ,
Robert and Isabella Garretts graves are there but could not find Johnny or Sarah's.
In the Maughold parish burial register next to Robert & Isabella's information the next line down is a listing stating Marker RIE on it and I can't find any information on what R.I.E means? Pauper Grave ? There is a small cross near Robert & Isabella's Grave
Could Johnny & Sarah be buried there? Is there a website with parish burial registers listed online that I could look up a bit more information?
Any help would be appreciated
