Is anyone here familiar with the history of Peel, Isle of Man? My ancestor (Robert Grant) ran the Liverpool Coffee-House there for 30-40 years (1804 to 1840).
Robert Grant (born in 1770 - Scotland and buried in 1847 - Patrick, Isle of Man) ran the Liverpool Coffee-House and later the Caledonia & Liverpool Hotel in Peel, Isle of Man.
Robert Grant was married to Nicholas Fraizer (1769-1816) and had three children, all baptized in German - Isle of Man: Margaret Grant (1799), George Sutherland Grant (1803) and Susannah Grant (1805).
I'm planning a trip to the island and would love to have some info to help me with my research.
Thanks
