I am trying to find information on William Gell (Gale, in some records) c.1781-1870. He married Anne Ellison in 1829 (Braddan), but was married before that, as he was a widower when he married Anne. I haven't been able to find out who his first wife was, or his parents. I think he might have been born in Santon. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
