Averil, you seem very adamant that you are correct but provide no proof. The census records for each of the two John Looneys provide no connection to any other family and so prove nothing other than they lived that long. I think they will turn out to be the other way around. In my last post, I provided some evidence from the 1860 will to support that the unmarried tailor could be the 1781 John, whereas the 1783 John is a very poor fit. I'm not adamant about it because we don't yet have the will for the other John, nor enough information about the 1781 John's mother Margaret Christian or the Christian next-of-kins in the will. Unfortunately I can't do any more on this, but hope that somebody can pick up the pieces and see what they come up with.
