Many thanks - yes, I was aware of that and hoping to establish whether he'd been buried or cremated by a process of elimination! He may well only have been in Douglas on death because he was at Nobles or the like. I'd have thought it more likely he is buried at Peel (if he is buried at all!). My father last saw him at Peel in the early 1960s, so as 66 not a great age, seems more likely than not he remained in Peel but died in Douglas following treatment. The list of Douglas burials appears to be incomplete at the moment and doesn't include cremations. I'm not aware of any online data for Peel Cemetery.
