didn't find an obvious bapt for George Hodgson - suspect born in England - most of the few other Hodgsons around this period seem to be linked to Whitehaven - Charlotte's will would be worth looking at.

John however seems to have been based in Peel (see directories etc on ManxNoteBook) running a lodging house in Castle Street(then known as Big Street) + being a merchant

The earliest Hodgson in Peel seems to be Thomas, a slate quarrier, bur 11 May 1783
