Inspired by the latest FHS magazine which indicated the the imuseum records were 99.9% accurate I thought that it was time to check on Francis Marion Christian Shimmin -again. No result.I know she was born on December 16th 1887 to Philip Shimmin and Catherine Christian (Kewley)]Shimmin of Stanley Road Peel.I have been unable to find her on any 1911 Census.On June 20th, 1916 she was a widow when she married Philip Henry Quayle, a widower, in Peel.She was described as married to a Clarke- again I cannot find a marriage, There is a note from 2012 to say she had an illegitimate birth in 1908 (Bing) on page 60 Message board-I cannot find that either.Any help would be much appreciated.
