Hi, if anyone could give me a little bit of help in researching some of my Manx ancestor(s), I would be very grateful. I'm looking for the father of Elizabeth Harris b. abt 1844 in St Agnes, Cornwall and so far have not established as to whether her father, William Harris who was a tin miner in St Agnes, Truro, Cornwall came over to the Isle of Man. I do have a copy of the marriage certificate for Elizabeth Harris who married in the Isle of Man to a John James Kelly, lead miner. They had at least 4 children, Elizabeth, Wm James, Lydia and Wm Henry. I am searching for the connection with Elizabeth's father, ie did she come over on her own or did the Harris family move from Cornwall to the Isle of Man.
