Hi David
When I couldn’t slot that message into the relevant thread in Archive 2, I should have just scrapped the idea. Writing a new-thread message that’s a mixture of words quoted from old messages within a new message can lead to confusion because, as far as I know, you can’t make the quoted section stand out other than by doing blocks of it in capital letters.
The Margaret Craine who married William Kewley was probably the daughter of Robert Craine and Martha Christian, bap 1823. It’s possible that she was the 25 yr old “Margaret Christian, visitor” with William Kewley 23 in that household of John and Louisa Quay in 1851, just 3 weeks prior to William’s marriage to Margaret Craine. The enumerator may have known her as a daughter of Martha Christian and written the wrong surname down perhaps. He got William’s relationship wrong---it should have been stepson.
