Why would 2 chn be missing from a 1861 census ? In 1851 Eliza Jane Costain is 16 months home with her parents & 6 year old sister. 1871 she is in service. Where is she in 1861? Her sister Georgiana appears at age 18 in 1871 living with her grandmotherAnn Archibald. Again I can't find a Georgiana Costain in 1861. The older sister Ann Elizabeth is on 1851 & 1861 census & then md by 1871.
