The information on my record (admitted 1880, discharged as recovered 1883) that they wouldn't allow me to see was names of doctors or officials. The same people's details will be viewable on census records and death certificates so why scribble out their names? They're long dead as are all of their children and perhaps their grand children too. Whose going to be bothered about their great or great, great grandfather's name appearing on a medical record doing the job he was supposed to do?
